Operating Instructions and Safety Precautions
1. Before using the unit, carefully read the warning section in the technical manual and strictly follow all warnings.
2. Installation, gas type conversion, and adjustment of the water heater must be performed only by qualified professionals authorized by the manufacturer. Gas or water leaks, incorrect flue installation, or flue detachment may cause unnecessary damage—or even endanger life.
3. Prior to use, verify that the gas type specified for the product matches the gas supply available at the installation site.
4. When installing the flue, ensure both the intake and exhaust openings extend outdoors, with a downward slope of 3–5° to prevent rainwater or condensate backflow. Securely fasten the flue pipe to the unit’s exhaust outlet using self-tapping screws, and seal all flue connections with aluminum foil tape to prevent dislodgement.
5. After installation, test the entire heating system and cold water/sanitary water piping for airtightness. Then repeatedly flush the heating system until no foreign matter remains.
6. During operation, regularly monitor combustion performance and changes in heating system pressure.
7. Frequently inspect the gas supply piping for leaks. Use soapy water to check joints for bubbles. If leakage is detected, immediately contact a certified gas company technician to locate and repair the leak. If you detect a strong gas odor, do not switch on electrical circuits, use telephones, or perform any action that could generate sparks. Instead, gently open doors and windows, shut off the main gas valve, and call the gas company from a safe location (e.g., a public telephone).
8. After winter heating season ends, it is recommended not to drain the water from the system—this helps extend the service life of the heating system. For extended non-use periods (both heating and domestic hot water), drain the water and disconnect both power and gas supplies.
9. Do not adjust the unit’s locking devices arbitrarily.
10. Avoid direct contact with the observation window surface to prevent burns.
11. The anti-freeze function operates only when normal power supply, gas supply, and adequate water pressure are maintained—and the unit starts up successfully—causing the heating water temperature to drop to 5°C. During prolonged winter shutdowns, to prevent freezing damage to the unit or piping, completely drain the water from both the heating and domestic hot water systems. Alternatively, drain only the domestic hot water system and add antifreeze to the heating water. Failure to take such precautions may result in freeze-related damage; any resulting equipment damage or associated losses—even during warranty period—shall be borne solely by the user.
